Thank you for your interest in becoming a featured author at the Laura Ingalls Wilder Children’s Literature Festival!
Each November, our festival committee selects a group of talented authors to participate in this special event, which brings together families, educators, and students from across the region. Our goal is to continually grow the festival with a diverse range of quality children's authors—both fiction and nonfiction—who offer engaging, family-friendly stories and topics.
This application form is for authors interested in participating in an upcoming festival. Please note that submitting the form does not guarantee acceptance.
Participation Details:

• Authors are expected to attend both full days of the event, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
• Each author will be scheduled to read their book to guests two to three times per day.
• The event draws hundreds of students from surrounding schools, offering an excellent opportunity to connect with families, educators, and potential readers.

What We Provide:

• One table and chairs per author
• Lunch for you and one assistant each day
• Table attendants available to assist if you need to step away

Additional Information:
Participation is free, but authors are responsible for managing their own sales (cash or card), as well as arranging their own travel and accommodations.
